Saraswati Vidya Mandir, Arya Nagar (North), Gorakhpur — an institution of Indian culture, character and scholarship.
Before independence, National Heritage was under foreign influences. Indian Culture had been uprooted. We attained freedom in 1947 to re-establish the Indian system. Macaulay's education system was imposed on the nation, and being independent, the soul of mother India was confiscated in the fetter of slavery. Being inspired by national feelings, great men started the "Saraswati Shishu Mandir" education planning, by which not only entire India but the whole world is obliged to this education system and to national feelings.
In this series, 'Vidya Mandir Shikshan Sansthan', Arya Nagar North Gorakhpur, is also engaged to contribute in the mega nation-building plan since 13 July 1964. If the goal is clear of any person, society or nation, success automatically comes to such person or institution. This institution is accepting all the challenges of society due to your love, affection and help.
Vidya Mandir Shikshan Sansthan returns to society double of what it attains from society. Today, where an economy-based administration system advocates 'economy' for human beings, we are engaged in moulding persons of good character and regulated mind. Your love and affection has made us capable to contribute in the development of nation and society.
At present, for girls, post graduate science and post graduate commerce classes are running, and for the preceding 20 years the exam result has been 100% continuous. Due to shortage of campus space, for boys there was education only till 8th standard, and guardians continuously demanded education up to 12th standard. Now, in the new building, high school and intermediate classes have been running for the last 21 years, with science and commerce classes in the boys' inter college and standard-level computer education. The main gate of the boys' inter college is towards Sonauli Road. English medium education is also provided from Playway to Class 12 in all streams.

A word to our guardians
With the achievements of Vidya Mandir, not only Gorakhpur city or district is acquainted but the entire Purvanchal is acquainted. This is not only an institution of education — it has become a link of nation construction in the application of yoga, physical development through spiritual sources, moral rights creation and national awareness. Our institution is dedicated to develop Hindu religion, Sanskrit language and more. We are aware of the English language, which compares and makes acquaintance with the knowledge and science of the world, and Indian culture and spiritual achievements.
To prepare the students for national and state level scholarships and for competitive examinations is the main purpose of this institution. Children are also acknowledged with science & technology and general knowledge. This is the result of the hard labour of our teachers.

Teacher
Teacher is the main organ of education. He/She is known as "Acharya" in Vidya Mandir. Here are well qualified and disciplined teachers.
Education
A special education system is adopted amongst all educational systems. It is based on Indian culture and education. Post educational activities are also organized.
Sanskar Bharti
To inspire the feelings of responsibility, "Sanskar Bharti" is constituted. It establishes library, reading room etc., and organizes programmes such as songs, poems and the act of giving prizes and rewards.
Saraswati Yatra
To enhance the level of general knowledge, a trip is made to the nearest districts.
Desh Darshan Yatra
To study historical and cultural places this tour is managed.
Library
There are several books — course books, religion, great men and other reference books. Students can obtain any book by registering their names in the library register.
Magazine — Jagriti
The yearly magazine "Jagriti" is published every year. Students can acquire knowledge from it.
Uniformity
To follow the rule of equality, uniforms are applicable. There are separate attires for both summer and winter.
Competitions
Competitions relating to language, writing, speech and arts are organized month to month. Health competitions are also organized to develop physical and social activities.
Prize Scheme
Several prizes and rewards are provided to students, teachers etc. to encourage them.
Parents Meeting
Every six months a parents meeting is held. Guardians can raise their problems and the institution shares its plans, so that development of students is made with joint thoughts.
Annual Function
Annual Function and Saraswati Poojan is celebrated as a cultural programme.
